Youth… you matter to God! At Peace, we believe God has big plans for you and that God's Son, Jesus, wants you to be close to him. And we are gathering a community of youth who are coming to know Jesus and serving the world for the glory of God.
Every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 pm, between 15 and 25 students in grades 5 through 9 gather for worship, games, service, learning, small groups, and more.
We'll kick off the year with a youth/parent meeting in September but feel free to join us anytime! You may register in person on Sunday, September 8, any Wednesday evening or register online here.
For youth 5-6th Grade: Super God Squad
They’re not little anymore and they're asking questions! This youth group for 5th & 6th graders is focused on tackling everyday questions and engaging pre-teens in God’s big story. Youth will be engaged in activities like making music videos, playing games, performing service work and occasionally we'll have an outside speaker join us.
For youth 7-9 Grade: Confirmation
Our Confirmation cycle is for a full two years of learning and growing in faith, beginning in 7th Grade and ending with Confirmation in May of the 8th grade year. Attendance at Sunday morning worship is a very important part of our Confirmation program. Students will engage in a variety of activities including service work as they make this important faith journey.
2021 ELCA Youth Gathering
The ELCA Youth Gathering will be held June 29-July 3, 2021 in Minneapolis, and we're going to it! Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives. Watch here for more information about this exciting opportunity as it becomes available!
Want to know what's coming up?
Every week we send an email to families with children age 5th - 9th grade that previews the upcoming week's lesson and other upcoming events that may be of interest to families with middle and high school age children.
