About Peace Lutheran Church

If you’re looking for an informal place to worship God, Peace may be the place for you! Here at Peace we emphasize faith - not tradition. While many traditions do serve us well, as a new congregation (established in 2001) we are very open to discerning God’s will for the congregation. If we feel called to do it, we do it, even if it’s something completely different than we have done before.

Peace abounds with young families and children. More than half of our members are 18 or younger. This brings a lot of excitement to the congregation - not to mention some commotion! We place a lot of emphasis on ministry to our youth and are constantly working to help our young people grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Faith in Jesus Christ is more than just something to do for an hour on a Sunday morning. Faith in Jesus Christ changes lives! Jesus has already died for us. Jesus has already saved us. We are people who have failed God, yet who are redeemed by the crucified Son of God. Faith in that Jesus leads us into lives of discipleship, including worship, study, prayer, inviting, giving, serving, and encouraging.

Peace Lutheran Church is a place where faith is nurtured, friendships are kindled, and God is praised!

Peace Lutheran Church has constructed a new worship facility just to the south of the Eyota Market!

Peace is a proud member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Our Core Values

1. Jesus throughout.
Without Jesus we lose any meaning at all! Without Jesus this church would not exist. We recognize our risen Lord in all that we do.

2. Creating community through relationships.
With so many new people moving to the area there is a great need for people to develop meaningful relationships. It can be so easy for families to just live here, work in Rochester, and never get tied into the community. God calls Peace to be a place where people can grow closer in faith, where people can stand beside each other in good times and in bad ones.

3. Offering a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
When describing Peace to people, I think this is one of our most defining aspects. In a world where many people are put off by formality, we offer a setting where people can come as they are and feel like they fit in. Blue jeans are OK!

4. Reaching out to family, friends and community.
There are so many ways for us to reach out with the Good News of Jesus. By far the most effective way to do it is for each and every person to invite others to come and see. We all have family or friends in the area who don't worship regularly, who don't have a strong relationship with our Lord. God calls us to invite them often! Yet God also calls us into our communities, welcoming those that we don't know.
